3D Realms announces “Realms Deep” showcase for September 2022
3D Realms has promised to provide world premieres, special guests, and more to their forthcoming Realms Deep celebration.
Long-time publication 3D Realms has officially announced the return of their “Realms Deep” digital event and showcase. The live stream will be available on the official Twitch channel on September 16, at noon Pacific time. According to the official website, the fans can anticipate watching “world premieres, special guests, interviews, and much more”.
This tweet comes from 3D Realms’ feed, which says that, in addition to the live Twitch stream in addition, there will be a LAN conference that will take place in Denmark between September 16th-18th, 2022:
3D Realms was in existence since the end of the 80s and is probably most well-known for their work in their work on the Duke Nukem series, as well as for contributing to numerous sequels.
As Duke Nukem has been rumored to have fallen by the back of the pack, however, it was confirmed that the show is set to get an adaptation for a feature. Similar to the announcement of the BioShockannouncement, Hollywood treatment revives the interest in classic games. It’ll be fascinating to determine what happens if 3D Realms makes use of this, and has anything that can be said about Duke Nukemagain.
Yet, 3D Realms is also well-known for its support of obscure projects, and the slogan “the greatest new games you’ve never heard of” in the current tweet could take the literal meaning. If that’s the case, it’ll be hard to anticipate 2022’s games. However, the publisher has released an updated supercut of 2021 that gives fans an idea of what to expect:
The event will be held by 3D Realms “and Friends” which means that any of their current collaborations open Realm’s Deep to a number of other games.
They have quite a few allies, like Nvidia, Rogue Games, and even Team17 which has consistently been impressed by recent announcements such as the Ship of Fools’release date trailer.
