A Plague Tale: Requiem gets a new gameplay trailer

At the Xbox & Bethesda Game Showcase on Sunday, a new gameplay trailer was shared for action-adventure title A Plague tale: Requiem.

It’s rat time again. This trailer features more sneaking and backstabbing within a plague-ridden environment — and more fireballs directed at the swarming, writhing rats. Protagonist Amicia runs around the rats, sometimes using them to defeat her enemies. The game is heavily stealth-based and against supernatural and realistic enemies.

The sequel to 2019’s a Plague Tale: innocence sees Hugo and Amicia, orphans, travel south. According to Xbox Wire the siblings “attempts to start a new existence and control Hugo’s curse.” However, “when Hugo’s powers reawaken,” death and destruction return in an avalanche of devouring rats.

According to Xbox Wire, this sequel will take players into a new region that is inspired by medieval France. The “overcast atmosphere” of 14th-century Aquitaine is gone in favor of Provence.

A Plague Story: Requiem will be coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2022. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass starting day one.
