Asymmetrical horror game The Texas Chain Saw Massacre looks like gritty fun
Today was the Xbox Game Showcase Extended. The first gameplay of the third-person asymmetrical horror game in the Xbox Game Pass lineup was displayed.
Maria Flores, a college student, has disappeared in the game. Local law enforcement has stopped their search. Ana Flores, Maria’s younger sister, has joined forces with some of Maria’s friends to search for her.
Based on the 1974 horror film, you’ll play the role of one the notorious Slaughter families. You will track down and stop guests from fleeing.
You can also take on the role Ana and Maria’s friends. Use your wits, stealth and intelligence to keep out of the reach of the Family and to find the necessary tools to achieve freedom. Stealth is an important part of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. However, “stealth” can also refer to offense or defense.
The game’s maps are recreations of iconic locations from 1974. These environments can require different play styles, depending on where you are located.
Gun Interactive, Lexington, Kentucky (shoutout to the 40502! ), developed this game. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, starring Sumo Nottingham and PS4, will be released in 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
