Carmilla radio play based on the novel of the same name by Sheridan Le Fanu

If one thinks of classic vampire stories, Dracula (1897) immediately comes into your mind. Bram Stoker’s novel was not the first book to focus on the creepy blood suckers. John Polidori ( The Vampire 1816) and Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu ( Carmilla 1872) published their tales of vampires earlier than Stoker. Although Dracula has had an impact on the perception of blood suckers It is worthwhile to learn about other classics.

Nina Danzeisen, Sona McDonald, Luitgard Im, Hans Caninenberg, Bernd Birkhahn and Jorg Kaehler are all heard in the radio drama. The adaptation for the radio show was directed by Heinz Wilhelm Schwarz.
