Doctor Who: David Tennant and Catherine Tate return for a special
Similar to Ncuti Gatwa, when she announced her new role as Doctor, Doctor Who announced its latest news was announced by way of two heart shapes and blue boxes on Twitter: To mark the occasion of the show’s 60th birthday, David Tennant ( Good Omens ) and Catherine Tate ( The Office ) are back.
The show’s director Russell T. Davies also made comments on the show’s return in a statement:
“They’re back! And it looks impossible – first we’re announcing a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the wonderful Donna, what on earth is happening? Maybe this is a missing story. Or a parallel world . Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback. The only thing I can confirm is that when two of our biggest stars get back together for the fight of their lives, it’s going to be spectacular.”
As the 10th Doctor, The Doctor, David Tennant impersonated the role from 2006 to early 2010, the last time appearing as the Doctor in The Day of the Doctor The Day of the Doctor, the special celebrating 50 years of the Doctor. Catherine Tate, on the other side, was the usual accompanying The Doctor (Tennant) in the role of Doona Noble throughout Season 4.
They broke up when the Doctor needed to erase Donna’s memories to help her live. He gave her family members with a message that if she remembers this, she’ll be dead. However, now that the two meet again The big question is: what will bring Donna and the Doctor as well as Donna back to one another?
