Exclusive MTG Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card reveal: March of Otherworldly Light
A new Magic: The Gathering set is on its way. Cards for Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty have begun to appear in nature – GamesRadar+ can only reveal the ‘March of Otherworldly Light.
Below is March of Otherworldly Light. Meanwhile, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty booster boxes are available to pre-order now from the likes href=”https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8426&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2Fstores%2FMagicTheGathering%2Fpage%2F1C5A2505-C20D-44F5-B31D-E91265896FF4%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dgrd-row-1275012037226534400-20″>of Amazon(opens in new tab). It will launch on February 18.
March of Otherworldly Light is a relic of the Shoal cycle of Kamigawa’s original Kamigawa set. Players can exile cards from their hands to lower the converted mana cost. This card is designed to deal with big threats, unlike classic Shoal cards that are built around mid-combat defense.
The meta’s propensity to play on a large battlefield may make milling through a hand full of white creatures cheaper than usual more appealing. We still have much to learn about March of Otherworldly Light’s potential impact on the wider mechanics and synergies of this best card game, especially when it comes to deciding whether to burn an earlier hand or to eliminate the bomb that just landed.
This card is not cheap in terms of the number of cards on the battlefield. However, it’s key to the move’s effectiveness lies in its wide range of removal. Double-faced cards are back in the form Enchanted Creatures / Sagas, and the new cycle is cheaper, so we might need to have some aces to survive the threats.
It seems like there is a lot going on around the Kamigawa exile zone: Neon Dynasty. Hidetsugu’s Devouring Chaos will let you send the top card from your library to exile in order to cast that turn. It also allows for any-target damage. Atsushi, Blazing Sky exiles 2 cards to be played until the end your turn.
Overall mechanics will see us play out of exile more than usual, favoring the fly card advantage to create that speedy Ninja environment. We have to wonder, however, if we will see Pull from Eternity and Riftsweeper returning to build some machines. That’s a big “if”.
It marks the beginning of a major year for Magic: The Gathering. Many sets will hit shelves in 2022 after the launch of Kamigawa : Neon Dynasty. This includes Dominaria United, Streets of New Capenna, and Dominaria United. (Featuring an angel-ruled city run by demon criminal families). Magic’s Universes Beyond will also be getting an addition to the Magic’s Universes Beyond line with a Warhammer 40K set and Space Marines.
As we receive more information, we’ll keep you informed. For now, you can pre-order Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty booster boxes href=”https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8426&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2Fstores%2FMagicTheGathering%2Fpage%2F1C5A2505-C20D-44F5-B31D-E91265896FF4%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dgrd-row-1221573468696359400-20″>via Amazon(opens in new tab) ahead of its February 18 launch.
