Halo Pelican comes to Microsoft Flight Simulator
The UNSC Pelican, a Halo franchise character, is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Microsoft announced the news Sunday at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. This is the first official licensed fictional aircraft that can be added to the realistic simulation. Microsoft even demonstrated it flying in outerspace. Download the add-on now and fly!
The Pelican is also known as the Dropship 77 – Troop Carrier or the D77 – Tactical Carrier. This aircraft should be familiar to all those who love Master Chief and his ilk. This versatile aircraft can fly in both space and at night. The aircraft is used for the point insertion of troops and vehicles. However, it can also be used in a ground support role if properly equipped. The co-pilot controls the chin-mounted, auto-cannon.
The Halo vehicles were previously compatible with Xbox’s driving games, Forza Horizon. A drivable Warthog was available in Forza Horizon 3, and 4.
The 40th Anniversary Edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator was also announced. This update will be available for free in November. The update will feature a variety of fan-favorite aircraftframes from the series’ 40-year history including the Wright Flyer and Spirit of St. Louis. It also includes the DC-3, De Havilland Beaver and the Airbus A310. This update includes helicopters such as the Bell-407 and gliders.
Microsoft also released a newsrelease on Sunday. It noted that the game would include a new sub-system to enable these sophisticated aircraft.

We have also listened and included the most requested aircraft types: helicopters. This will be done with Fluid Dynamics Simulation. Gliders that allow you to explore the planet in a completely unique way.
