Hitman 3 Steam owners get free upgrades after launch troubles
After a disappointing launch and disappointed players, Hitman 3 Steam customers are eligible for free upgrades to the more expensive editions.
IO Interactive brought Hitman 3 to Steam after a year of exclusive PC access on Epic Games Store. Surprised to find a confusing array of options for buying the game, as well as its predecessors, was Hitman 3’s waiting fans. (The levels in Hitman 3 can also be upgraded in Hitman 3). One of the biggest issues was the $60 price tag. IO Interactive announced today that they would be giving away extra content you wouldn’t normally have to pay for.
“Ultimately, we didn’t meet our expectations for a launch experience and that’s why we don’t like the way our Steam community begins their HITMAN3 journey in this manner,” IO Interactive stated in a post to Hitman’s Steam community page (opens in new tab)..
Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition on Steam will be free to upgrade to. This will give you access to all of the Deluxe Edition content, including exclusive Escalation Contracts and suits as well as additional items. You’ll get an upgrade to Hitman 3 Deluxe Edition and Hitman Trilogy if you already have the Deluxe Edition. This includes a new set of challenges and unlockable rewards crafted by Agent 47. These offers will be valid until February 19, 2022.
Hit-fans will have plenty to look forward too with the Hitman 3 Freelancer mode.
