Inside the harrowing story of The Walking Dead’s Clementine with a trailer for her first solo book

Return to the world of comic books that is The Walking Dead this June with one of the series’ most loved character, Clementine. The story is based on the popular game by Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Clementine Book One(opens in a new Tab) by writer/artist Tillie Walden, who is a part of the zombie genre by bringing a YA tale which offers a fresh view on the vast world of.

The day before Clementine Book One’s release date of June 22nd, Skybound Comet has shared a brand new trailer for the novel with us. Check it out:

Walden joins The Walking Dead franchise after an assortment of personal (and well-known) graphic novels written by creators and brings her unique perspective to The Walking Dead’s world. The Walking Dead built by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore as well as Charlie Adlard.

“Starting out with a character like Clementine is both a huge responsibility and joy,” Walden declared in the 2021 announcement that was originally made. “Clementine is a person who brings adventure with her everywhere she goes, and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to take her beyond the world of the games, to somewhere new and thrilling (like the top of a mountain!). In the Walden’s Clementine OGN series will pick from the beginning of the game as Clementine returns to the road to create a existence for her. In the course of the story, Clementine and a new character named Amos, an Amish teenager named Amos travel to Vermont and discover a walk-free community of teenagers set up within an abandoned resort.

It’s an updated version of Lord of the Flies, as rivalry, friendship, and love begin to change the dynamics of the group The teens discover that the greatest danger to their survival may actually be not the zombies… rather other.

Clementine Book One also marks the official launch of Skybound Comet, a brand new brand of graphic novels that is aimed toward Young Adult (Ages 12+) and Middle Grade (Ages 8-12) audience. Additional projects comprise:

  • Everyday Hero Machine Boy OGN by Tri Vuong and Irma Kniivila (September 2022)
  • Sea Serpent’s Heir Book One (of Three) OGN by Mairghread Scott and Pablo Tunica (October 2022)

Skybound executive Editor Alex Antone added to that Alex Antone said that these three graphic novels”are “only the beginning of our long-term graphic novel program.”

Clementine Book One can be purchased in comic book stores and on digital platforms on Wednesday June 22, and everywhere else , books will be sold on June 28.
