Japanese record data transfer rate at first place, from 1.02 to 11.30 per second
apanese engineers have set a brand record-breaking data transfer rate at 1,02 petabits/second. They say it’s theoretically feasible for 10 million channels to be broadcast simultaneously using 8K.
In this manner an optical fiber that was modified was utilized that had four cores instead of one. The bandwidth was increased of 20 THz because of the spectral separation between the channels.
The data was transferred over the distance of fifty-seven miles. The four-core fiber that is used has 125 microns. The size of the most widely used optical fiber is consequently, compatible with existing infrastructures.
