Mike Flanagan’s new Netflix series begins filming as actor shares first set photo

Siegel tweeted “Every new journey starts with one step.” She also included a photo of herself standing outside Rahul Kohli’s dressing room.

The original story is based on an 1839 short story by Edgar Allan Poe. It tells the story of a narrator who visits the House of Usher to find out if a mysterious illness has infected the residents. Frank Langella will portray Roderick Usher (the patriarch of the Usher Dynasty), while Mary McDonnell will portray Madeline, his twin sister.

Carl Lumbly will be playing C. Auguste Dupin as investigator, while Carl Hamill and Carla Gugino were cast in unnamed roles. T’Nia Mills, Henry Thomas, Samantha Sloyan and Katie Parker will play C. Auguste Dupin.

Flanagan will direct this series for Netflix, his fifth after The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor. Flanagan also directed Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House. Another series, The Midnight Club is due to be released later in the year.
