A gameplay clip of the new Need for Speed has seemingly leaked
A short video clip from the upcoming Need for Speed title is rumored to have surfaced.
The footage of the work in progress in the video below (via Reddit) shows a car crash when it attempts to climb over an obstacle. The video also features a variety of visual effects that align with reports that have stated previously that the game will have an art style that is photorealistic as well as anime-inspired elements.
EA announced in May that the new mainline games in the Need for Speed series will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Now, it’s being reported by Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb that the release date for the game is being changed internally from the month of November into December.
“They delayed it to December, one month,” the man said. “They’re going to give it some time before revealing it. It appears the Criterion was swayed in a small way, far back when they were developing Battlefield and that caused an impact.”
The game is said to be set in a fictionalized version of Chicago named Lake Shore City.
