New Final Fantasy 7-related projects are in development, teases creative director

Square Enix’s creative director for Final Fantasy 7 Remake teased additional projects that could be related to the series.

Yoshinori Kitase, Tetsuya Namura, and Tetsuya Normura, the original Final Fantasy 7 developers, posted statements today to mark the 25th anniversary of the original game in 2022. Nomura teased that there were “even more FFVII projects in development” after the remake was first revealed many years ago.

It’s difficult to imagine what these projects might be. Square Enix already has several Final Fantasy 7-related projects on the go. Both Kitase (left) and Nomura (right) mention many of these in their statement.

Fans are eagerly awaiting news about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two. Square Enix’s second part of its ambitious remake is well under development. Nomura , the creative director, has teased details about the game previously.

Were these projects Nomura teasing to be revealed in 2021 as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for Final Fantasy 7? Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier, Ever Crisis and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two are already moving towards a final launch later in the year. Is there enough room for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two?
