Resident Evil Village will be getting a third-person mode and new story DLC

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will include the DLC as well as the base game and Winters’ Expansion.

Winters’ Expansion will offer a third-person view, which allows players to see Ethan the protagonist as they play rather than in a first person perspective.

The update will include Additional Orders, an update for Mercenaries mode that adds new characters such as Chris Redfield and Lady Dimitrescu.

Shadows of Rose is a story DLC that will be added to the expansion. This can only be played in third person mode.

Shadows of Rose lets players control Ethan’s older daughter Rose. This story is sort of a sequel to Village and allows players to “experience Rose’s struggles in dealing with the frightening powers she was born with”.

“To free herself from the curse of her powers she enters into the consciousness of Megamycete,” Rose is guided by Michael, a being who calls himself Michael. He might be able to help her remove her powers.

On October 28, the new DLC and Village Gold Edition will be available.
