September’s ‘free’ games with Amazon Prime Gaming have leaked
The PlayStation VR2 hardware will be playable for the first time at Tokyo Game Show.
Capcom has announced that the PlayStation VR2 version of Resident Evil Village will be available for play at the next event month, marking the first time that players be able to test the latest-gen headset.
An official tweet of the Japanese Resident Evil Biohazard’s account read: “Tokyo Game Show 2022 Capcom booth exhibit information including the PlayStation VR2 version of Resident Evil Village will be displayed. You can experience the ultimate immersion being a part of Dumitrescu Castle.”
The tweet was then retweeted by the official Japanese PlayStation account that included: “This will be the first time for PlayStation gamers to experience PlayStation VR2. Come by at the Tokyo Game Show 2022 Capcom booth.”
Sony confirmed earlier this week that PlayStation VR2 will release in “early 2023”, but the PS VR2 version of Resident Evil Village is not yet been given an announcement date.
PlayStation’s State of Play presentation in June made clear it was revealed that Resident Evil Village had been to be ported to the new PS5 VR headset in totality.

At the moment of the announcement, the producer Tsuyoshi Kanda declared: “The PS VR2 system is currently under development as is Resident Evil Village. Resident Evil Village will be capable of providing a more immersive experience by using the stunning graphics that are possible thanks to the VR2’s HDR display in 4K Eye tracking technology from PlayStation VR2 PlayStation 5’s 3D Audio and much more.
Alongside the PlayStation VR2 headset, it’s also possible to use also the PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers to show each hand’s movements in the real world. Consider guarding both arms. Ethan will protect similarly and hold guns and Ethan will put his hands up.
“You can also now perform dynamic actions, like firing your weapon with a knife in your other hand or holding a gun with one hand while holding shooting with the other. These sophisticated controllers improve players’ immersion in this game.”
At the beginning of this month, Capcom announced it would stream two online presentations at Tokyo Game Show.
The premiere presentation, Capcom Online Program, will be held on September 15, 10:00 am ET/3 pm BST, and will cover “all the latest Capcom news”.
The second presentation is devoted entirely to Street Fighter 6 The presentation will begin on September 16 at 11 am ET/4 pm BST.
