Shakespeare Unleashed: A Harry Potter-issued novel inspires the Bard’s new horror to come as a bear

Although the work of William Shakespeare may be timeless, there are always new ideas. Shakespeare Unleashed is an engaging novel that shows that the Bards were highly skilled.

IGN is able to debut a few prints with JK Woodward’s signature. The Kickstarter campaign for Shakespeare Unleashed is now live on Kickstarter. Check out the slideshow.

Shakespeare Unleashed was published by Crystal Lake Publishing and Monstrous Books. It is a sequel to the excellent-looking Classic Monsters Unleashed. James Aquilone says the book includes sonnets by a variety of authors: Joe R. Lansdale and Kasey Lansdale, (Terror Is Our Business), Ian Doescher and William Shakespeare’s Star Wars), Cullen Bunn and Seanan McGuire (Every Heart a Doorway), Jonathan Maberry (Kagen The Damned). Naturally, one of these stories is a zombie-filled version of Romeo & Juliet.

Joe Lansdale released a press release saying that Shakespeare saw the human condition in all its glory and pain. He saw the horror and mystery in ambition and ego.

Docher said, “I’m a Shakespeare lover and horror fan, so I’m happy to see this project.” My contribution, which is based on Twelfth Night’s comedy, will channel Barber’s dark side and show how happy ever after can get into trouble and crying.
