Shang-Chi and his family are at each others throats in #8 preview

While Xu Xialing assumed control of the family business in Marvel Studios Shang Chi, and the Legend of the Ten Rings, her brother Shang Chi has taken over the evil empire of their father. As you can see, there are issues among the other family members with his management.

On February 2, ShangChi #8 (opens in new window) Shang-Chi finds himself in the middle of a family feud that is worse than any Steve Harvey could imagine. His maternal grandfather Chieftain Xin and his sister Zhilan (Sister Staff) are the only people they want to control.

Even Esme, his sister (Sister Dagger), who is based on his MCU sister Xu Xialing, doesn’t believe he’s suitable for the role – but she’s loyal and will do whatever it takes to fill the role.

Shang-Chi #8 concludes the current ‘Family of Origin” story-arc. After that, we will be moving into a new arc in Shang Chi #9 (opens in new tab).. Excalibur’s Marcus To joins Yang on ShangChi. He (and his warring families) must work together to defeat an evil mastermind who wants to destroy the entire group.
