Stardew Valley Tilapia Fishering Guide – What and Where to Catch?
The Tilapia can be caught at The Beach, or on The Beach Farm in Summer and Fall. You can catch it in any season at Ginger Island West (freshwater), or North. You may see it randomly in Krobus’ shop on Wednesdays, for 200g or at the Traveling Cart between 225-1,000g.
Magic Bait can be used to catch Tilapia regardless of the season or time of day.
Magic Bait
If you don’t want to wait until winter and you still like the idea of using a Magic Bal,
Magic Bait can be attached to a Fiberglass Rod or an Iridium Rod. It will catch any fish, regardless of the weather, season, or time. It can be attached either to a Fiberglass Rod, or an Iridium Rod.
You can purchase 20 Magic Bait from Qi’s Walnut Room, x5. You can also purchase the recipe for Magic Bait for diamonds x20. The ingredients are:
- x1 Radioactive Ore
- x3 – Bug Meat

Ginger Island is the best, in both the north (freshwater), and west (freshwater), because there are Tilapia throughout the year.
Ginger Island can be found in the Fern Islands archipelago. You will need to visit Willy’s Fish Shop to find his backroom. You will be able purchase tickets to the island once the boat is repaired. Remember that tickets will not be available until your complete the Joja Community Design Form or the Community Center in Pelican town
