The Book of Boba Fett episode 5 answers an oddly specific Star Wars: A New Hope question
Warning! Spoilers ahead for The Book of Boba Fett Episode 5! If you haven’t caught up with the latest episode of Disney Plus, go back now!
Episode 5 of The Book of Boba Fett is filled with Easter eggs that link to the rest of Star Wars’ saga from the prequel era N-1 starfighter up to two familiar-looking droids. A strange question about A New Hope is answered by one callback.
As Din Djarin, Peli Motto and Peli Motto work to fix up the starfighter’s damaged parts, one of them uses something you may recognize from the first Star Wars movie.
In A New Hope, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo and Chewbacca find themselves trapped in the trash compactor. Han and Leia attempt to stop the walls closing in with a strange-looking stick.
Episode 5 revealed that this booster is a cryogenic density combustion booster. It remains to be determined what exactly this booster is and why the Empire gave it away. The Book of Boba Fett reveals that it was taken by the Jawas from under a Pyke spice runner.
Episode 5 ended with Mando leaving to visit Baby Yoda (AKA Grgu), so we may be seeing more original Trilogy callbacks next week. This is because Luke Skywalker is currently caring for the little green guy, which could indicate another appearance from the Jedi.
