After Mando decides to take his new starfighter from the prequel era to a flight across his skies over Tatooine and is held back by two X-Wing pilots from The New Republic. One of them is a familiar face: Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) who has been seen several instances on screen in The Mandalorian. The more book-based ranger is another well-known character in a way. This is Max Lloyd-Jones, an actor who served as Luke Skywalker’s younger counterpart to replace Mark Hamill in The Mandalorian season 2’s finale. He played the role of a stand-in for Hamill as the two actors played out Luke’s roles during the shoot in this Disney Plus show, with CGI technology employed to age Hamill.
Though it’s probably nothing more than Lloyd-Jones getting some attention for his work behind the scenes however it won’t deter the speculation of Star Wars viewers that Luke Skywalker (and Grogu) could show up in the next episode of The Book of Boba Fett.
The Book of Boba Fett didn’t simply bridge the gap in The Mandalorian. It was also busy fixing a plot hole and clearing up some darksaber-related confusion while doing it.
