Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3+ 4 Remakes The Man of the Day Remakes Reportedly Scrapped

This is the sad news for Tony Hawk fans. Andy Gentile was a guest on a live talk with the skate legend. The Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 and 2 was designed by a senior designer. He confirmed that the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and 4 remakes were in the planning stages.

Hawk maintained that the plan to remake the movie was abandoned after Vicarious Visions had merged with Blizzard. Activision wasn’t impressed by the proposals from different developers about the future of the movie and so the potential sequels were ultimately scrapped.

Vicarious Visions managed the 1+2, but the developer was essentially absorbed by Blizzard after the merger. They were no longer working together as an independent studio. Despite Activision buying advertising from other studios they did not like the proposals and chose Vicarious Visions instead to handle them.

Hawk said that he wished there was a way to get his money back. Hawk never thought they’d play the first two games twice again. It was possible.

Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 and 2 are now available for PC and console.
