Uncharted 5? “Never say never,” says Naughty Dog

Uncharted 5 hasn’t been ruled out by the developer Naughty Dog.

In an interview with GamesRadarand this week to celebrate the upcoming release of Uncharted: The Legacy Collection, Naughty Dog leads Kurt Margenau and Sean Escayg discussed possible possibilities for Uncharted being re-released for another installment.

“I think we can say for certain that we can never say never,” said Escayg the creative director of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. “Yeah. Uncharted is a franchise we love – that the studio loves. I love, and Kurt loves. It’s a world we want to see more of. So I can certainly say that,” the director of development continued.

Rumor has it that a uncharted game is in the works. Uncharted game was in development, just not with Naughty Dog. In April of last year the news reported it was Days Gone developer Bend Studio was tasked with the development of a new game within the Uncharted franchise, but that they had recently successfully asked to be removed from the project. This means that we’re not sure if the brand-new Uncharted game is still in other locations or has been abandoned completely.

What we know is that Uncharted Legacy Collection will be released on January 28. Legacy Collection arrives tomorrow on January 28 on PlayStation 5 and the launch for PC set to be later in the year. The collection bundles Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy with a impressive 60FPS upgrade that could actually boost to 120FPS depending on whether your television supports it. Read our Uncharted the Legacy Collection impressions for our impressions of the brand new collection package.
